PEARLS, PIGS AND PERSEVERANCE

Preachers, pundits and politicians have to be pretty arrogant to apply to themselves the words "crying in the wilderness".  But some of us get a bit impatient promising ourselves a posthumous public, if not postponed post-mortem recognition and appreciation for what we have said and written.  It gets somewhat frustrating using pink slips as wall-paper and accepting deafening silence in reaction to the enlightenment we offer the masses.  Maybe with a little less alliteration ...

This blog, like the book it complements, is hardly a ground-breaking work of genius.  But their author wonders sometimes whether it is wise or even worth-while to persevere.  Of course it is.  He has been told he is arrogant enough as it is, without becoming a publishing phenomenon.  Better that he keep on keeping on, hoping that something he writes, whether he ever hears about it or not, may give at least pause for thought to some who may find not only reasons to question their faith, but even motivation to take up themselves the torch of ...
